The full name of pu in Chinese is polyurethane, which is a general term for macromolecular compounds containing repeating carbamate groups on the main chain. It consists of organic chemical diisocyanates or polyacrylates and dihydroxy or polyhydroxy chemical substances. The inner core of industrial pu timing belt generally has galvanized steel wire, copper-plated steel wire, Kavla wire core, glass fiber wire core, etc., with PU rubber layer attached. There are two types of single-sided toothed belts and non-standard double-sided toothed timing belts. The former key is used for biaxial transmission, and the latter is multi-axial transmission or reverse direction transmission. High-quality timing belts with curved teeth have a large torque.

The PU timing belt adopts the meshing of the belt teeth and the tooth slot of the pulley to transmit motion and power. It is a meshing transmission, so it has various advantages of gear transmission, chain transmission and flat belt transmission. High anti-wear ability, it still maintains good movement ability in transmission. Tolerances are small.

1. The service life and tooth profile accuracy of the pu synchronous belt pulley have an important impact on the synchronous belt drive. In the short term, the transmission gear belt fails because the transmission gear belt and the pulley transmission gear cannot be properly coupled.
2. The material of the pulley and the hardness of the tooth surface have an important influence on the transmission quality. The common failure modes of the protective cover wheel gallery are damage and pitting of the protective gear surface, so the protective gear surface should have sufficient wear resistance and contact compressive strength. Studies have shown that the general pulley material can choose medium carbon steel or medium carbon alloy structural steel, such as 45#, 40Cr, 35SiMn, etc., for normalizing or quenching and tempering, so that the tooth surface hardness is 200 to 260HB. For high toughness and surface hardness, excellent ductility can take into account the specific requirements of engineering projects. Due to the moderate hardness, it can accurately drive gears after quenching and tempering.
3. In the synchronous transmission gear pulley, in order to prevent the synchronous belt from being dragged from the side of the belt pulley, the belt pulley must have a partition.
