The back of the polyurethane timing belt is used for bonding and cladding tensile elements. It should have good flexibility and bending fatigue resistance, not easy to age, good oil resistance, and wear resistance. The inner surface of the polyurethane timing belt has a sharp groove of appropriate size. In addition to process requirements, it can also improve the bending fatigue performance of the toothed belt, and at the same time allow the intercepted air between the belt and the teeth to escape during operation to reduce part of the noise.
Features of polyurethane timing belt
1. The tensile layer is the tensile element of the timing belt, which is used to transmit power and ensure that the timing belt maintains the same pitch when it is working. Multi-strand steel wire rope (or polyester wire rope) is used to spirally wind the cloth along the width of the tape, and the position is the pitch line of the synchronous belt. The tensile layer must have high tensile strength and bending fatigue strength. The elastic modulus is large, and it is not allowed to elongate during work to ensure that the pitch of the timing belt remains unchanged.
2. The teeth of the polyurethane timing belt should have high shear strength, good wear resistance and oil resistance. The pitch distribution of the belt teeth is highly required, and the belt teeth should mesh correctly with the tooth grooves of the pulley, so the correctness of the geometric parameters of the belt teeth is highly required. Polyurethane timing belts are known for their excellent resistance to oil and abrasion. It is suitable for small and medium power high-speed operation occasions. The environment should be relatively dry, and the working temperature is generally -20~+80C.
3. Polyurethane timing belt is produced by special molding process.
4. Polyurethane material makes the belt wear-resistant and tear-resistant. The steel wire core increases the belt strength and tensile resistance, giving the belt good dimensional stability.
5. The polyurethane timing belt has small tolerance, which can ensure the accuracy of thickness and length.
The above characteristics make the polyurethane synchronous belt have high physical and chemical stability.
Polyurethane timing belts are suitable for high-strength, high-precision and even high-speed transmission systems, and are more suitable for low-load synchronous and graded transmissions such as office automation systems and household appliances.
