What are the reasons for the timing belt tooth to shear off?

When the timing belt is in operation, the teeth of the belt will be tightly meshed with the teeth of the pulley to transmit force. As everyone knows, under the effect of cutting and extrusion molding, the surface of the toothed belt often causes cracks, and the cracks will slowly expand to the root of the toothed belt along with the direction of the transmission system, until all the belt teeth and Completely get rid of the timing belt human body, which is what we often call the cutting of the teeth.

According to the analysis of relevant authoritative experts, the main reasons for the toothed cutting to fall off are as follows:
1. The pitch diameter difference between the timing belt and the pulley is very large, and the rubber timing belt causes the belt teeth to not completely enter the gear slot, resulting in incomplete meshing. A part of the belt teeth does not enter the gear tooth slot, so that the total contact area of the belt teeth is greatly reduced, and the excessive load on the smaller total contact area will cause stress, resulting in the cutting damage of the belt teeth.
2. Another reason is that the number of teeth of the timing belt and the pulley in the surrounding tooth area is too small. The rubber timing belt also greatly reduces the total supporting area of the belt teeth in the tooth groove, which in turn makes the toothed belt teeth. Bearing too much load, resulting in the final cutting damage.
3. If there is no problem in the above two places, it should finally be considered whether the compressive strength of the conventional raw materials of the timing belt meets the standard. This is also one of the reasons for the more objective and basic rubber timing belt. In the case of selection and purchase, strict control of the raw materials of the timing belt is the key.

In order to reduce the occurrence of the belt teeth cutting and falling off, the relevant staff should strictly control and reduce the pitch diameter deviation between the timing belt and the pulley, and ensure that the belt teeth and the transmission gear can be tightly meshed; secondly, It is necessary to ensure that the number of teeth of the timing belt and the pulley in the surrounding tooth area is not less than 6 groups, so as to provide a sufficient total support area; finally, the conventional material selection of the timing belt should use high-toughness raw materials, which is the most basic stage.
