What are the forms of damage to the timing belt?

1. Insufficient tension:
If the tension force is not enough, the friction force will also be insufficient, and then slippage will occur, which will increase the wear of the synchronous belt, and make others lose their ability to transmit loads.
2. Too much tension:
The tension of the timing belt is too large and the deformation is serious, which will reduce the service life of the timing belt.
3. There are debris left on thetiming belt:
If there is grease and other dirt on the timing belt, because the dirt contains chemical substances, it can enter the timing belt and destroy its material structure.
4. The synchronous pulley is not aligned:
If the synchronous pulley is not aligned, it will cause the synchronous belt to slip, twist, and heat and wear inside, so the synchronous pulley must be aligned.
5. The length of the synchronous belt is not equal:
If the lengths of a row of belts are not equal, the magnitude of the tensioning force on each synchronous belt will also be different, and some will slip or the tension will be too high, causing the synchronous belt to wear. Therefore, be sure to use the same type of synchronous belt when using it.
6. If the synchronous belt does not operate for a long time, it needs to be removed, otherwise the service life of the synchronous belt will be reduced and the synchronous belt will be deformed.
7. If the timing belt is placed for too long, it will cause the rubber to age and reduce its life.
8. If there is dust, acid-base gas or other gases that will damage the synchronous belt in the environment of the application site, it will also shorten the service life of the synchronous belt.
9. The vibration amplitude is too large:
If the synchronous belt twitches rapidly due to machine vibration, it will cause the synchronous belt to be seriously damaged, thereby reducing the service life.
10. Start overload:
When the synchronous belt runs under overload conditions, it will generate too much tension, which will cause the synchronous belt to be damaged due to sliding.
11. The wheel groove of the synchronous pulley is worn:
If the synchronous pulley is used for too long, the wear of the groove edge is increased, and the angle is incorrect, and the synchronous belt will touch the bottom end of the groove. In order to drive the machine, the tension force must be increased, resulting in damage to the V-belt.
